If you're looking at this grill and wondering whether to spend the extra money, go for it! It is really worth the extra money. The barbecue itself is very nice looking stainless steel and is top quality that you can only get with a Weber. We replaced our 10-year old smaller Weber gas grill only because we wanted a larger model. The old grill is going to our nephew and is still in great shape. This is what you get when you buy a Weber.
As for the new way of cooking, we have followed the instructions in the barbecue book that came with it, and have not been disappointed. No more burnt, dried out food. The first night my husband made chicken legs and they came out perfectly with the recommended indirect method. By far the best grilled legs that I ever had. Juicy, crisp, and cooked all the way through. Last night I made burgers and they had perfect grill marks and were cooked thru and still juicy. Once again I used the recommended method in the Weber grilling book that came with the grill. Tonight we will have ribs and I can't wait to see how they come out!
Once again, very happy that we purchased this model. Weber has really produced a superior model! You will not be sorry that you bought this grill.
